I experienced the height of New Orleans inefficiency today at my local United States post office. There was a line of roughly twenty people with a single counter open. There were three employees behind the counter and who do they choose to run the single register? The deaf woman. Shortly after entering the line the customer at the counter and the deaf cashier hit a snag causing the cashier to exclaim and attempt to get the other two employees to help. They ignored her and continued to argue over the specifics of why another customer was wrong and the hoops he would be required to jump through. |
And people wonder why New Orleans is having some many problems getting back on its feet.
